1 With rise of population and increase in industries, the problem of pollution is becoming more serious. Now a days the soil, air and water are polluted. The water of the river is no longer suitable for drinking. The air is no longer fit for breathing. There is lot of pollution too which damages our health. We must take steps to reduce pollution.
(B) Child Labour
Child labour is a social evil. We find young children working at different places. They can be seen at any construction site or even at hotels. They become a source of income for the family. Such children lose their innocence. They remain illiterate. The government has made laws to stop this practice. But still, many people hire children to work at small scale industries and to do household work. We must try to stop this practice and allow the children to grow in a healthy environment.
(C) Wonders of science
The modern age is an age of science. Science is the greatest boon to the modern world. Modern discoveries and inventions have increased human comforts and happiness. Things which were considered to be impossible in the past are now actually happening before us. Science has conquered time and distance. Science has given us wonderful medicines. Science has given us wonderful means of recreation. Cinema, radio, television, gramophone and photography give a true type of recreation. Science has also given gifts to agriculture and industry. It has made tractors, we can plough our land. Sow seed and reap harvest with their help. Tubewells, another gift, water our fields. Science has destroyed plant diseases. Machines produce nearly all necessary things of our life.
They help industries. They help to meet the needs of growing, population. Science is a boon to human life.
(D) Bad news travels fast
Bad news circulated quickly because people are apt to hear it and then share it with others. People often spread it everywhere. A bad news is always a bad news, however well it is said. Hence, news of such events travels fast and affects everyone, either directly or indirectly.
(E) Better safe than sorry
People who are better safe than sorry arrange and organise a head of time so that they do not have to face negative consequences in the future. This may mean they are physically safe or that they are safe from bad events. There are many advertisements, posters, warnings etc. that urge us to put on our seat belt or wear our helmet while driving cars and bikes. It is to protect ourselves. Seat belts and helmets are of no use unless an accident actually occurs. Therefore, the proverb 'It is better to be safe than sorry' is extremely unimportant. It teaches us a practical lesson.
